The Japan Society of Ningen Dock and Preventive Medical Care was founded with the goal of contributing to the improvement of health screening (Ningen Dock) as well as facilitating the achievement of its missions as a participant in projects initiated by the Japan Hospital Association (JHA) in response to the creation of the Clinical Preventive Medicine Committee within the JHA and under policies established in November 1958.

Endeavoring to achieve organizational growth, the Society was certified as a limited liability intermediate corporation in April 2005, a non-profit general incorporated association in December 2008, and a public interest incorporated association in September 2009. Because of recent changes in social structures and the aging of society, public sentiment has shifted toward placing a higher priority on quality of life (QOL) as a way of achieving a longer, healthier, and more comfortable lives. Despite this shift, however, the incidence of lifestyle diseases, cancer, and other preventable diseases continue to increase. The 21st century has become the era of preventive medicine.

As part of our strong commitment to playing an important role in advancing complete medical check-ups (ningen dock) in this new era, the Society established certified physician and health evaluation and promotion specialist systems, and is actively involved in conducting complete medical check-up (ningen dock) facility assessment. In July 2007, the Society established a program designed to nurture human resources in specific health guidance as it continues its efforts to improve the abilities of Society members. In addition, we also inform facility members of group contracts for specific health examinations and health guidance.

As mentioned above, we actively strive to protect the health of the public by improving the quality of complete medical check-ups (ningen dock). We hope that you will consider becoming a member of the Society and join us in fulfilling this important mission.
